Give Aloha

Give Aloha

Give Aloha is an annual program through which Foodland directs its charitable giving to the organizations that are important to its customers. The program honors Maurice J. “Sully” Sullivan, founder of Foodland Super Market, Ltd., and continues his legacy of giving back to the community.

Every year from September 1-30, customers are invited to make donations of up to a cumulative total of $249 (per person, per organization) at checkout to their favorite Hawaii non-profit organization registered in the Give Aloha program. Donations are accepted at any Foodland, Sack N Save or Foodland Farms checkout.

A code is assigned to each organization for donation tracking at checkout. Our Give Aloha code is 78578.

Advocate

In Hawaii, 1 in 5 households spend half or more of their income towards housing. Habitat for Humanity aims to increase housing affordability across the U.S. through local and national policy and advocacy.

You can help.

Hawaii Legislative Session

Hawaii Habitat and its housing partners dedicate their efforts throughout the year to ensure policy and advocacy work gets through to state legislators. During January-April, Hawaii Habitat and local Affiliates attend the legislative session to advocate for Hawaii residents in an effort to push through housing policies for fair housing throughout the state of Hawaii.

#CostOfHome National Campaign

The Cost of Home Campaign is Habitat for Humanity’s national effort to ensure no family ever has to choose between having a roof over their head or having access to healthy food.

Your voice has influence. By sharing your support of the need for home affordability to policymakers at all levels of government, you are helping us make the #CostOfHome something we all can afford.
